Beginning Yoga
who's it for? New & returning students to Iyengar yoga
Wednesdays @ 9:30-10:45am
Saturdays @ 12:15-1:30pm
In this dynamically paced class, we work with foundational poses and lots of movement as we begin a conversation with our body & mind through the practice of Iyengar Yoga.
Each class builds on the previous week, learning through both repetition and addition.
We explore movement and stability through standing & seated postures and beginning inversions.
This series can be repeated as many times as you like, creating a beautiful foundation for your home practice and further yoga studies.
- January 7th/10th is Week 0: An Introduction to Iyengar Yoga
- 12 week series begins Feb 25/28
- More info about the 12 week course here.

Thursdays @ 9:30-11am
This is a continuation of Beginning Yoga. Each class builds on the previous week, as we learn new poses in stages throughout the month.
Lots of movement and more refinements of foundational poses. And learn more including: twists, forward bends, back extensions, and more inversions.
You've learned the basics, and now, you're ready for what's next.
Continuing Yoga Series will run through May, as we continue to learn more poses each month through the winter and spring.

Yoga for Elders & Elders to Be
who's it for? Those who carry a lifetime of wisdom in their bones & in their cells, and would like a slower paced class. Beginners Welcome.
Thursdays @ 1:30-2:45pm
In this class, we explore how to:
- create mobility and stability in the body and mind
- build up our strength and stamina
- and quiet the brain even when the body is active.
And we do all that with lots of joy and laughter. You don't need to be an elder to join this class. Elders in training are welcome as well.
Open Practice for RY Students
who's it for? Any students currently enrolled in classes at yogashala
Wednesdays @ 11am-1pm
Use all the props. Ask questions. Choose-your-own-[practice]-adventure.
Practice what you're learning in class. We're all doing our own thing. Sometimes it's quiet. Sometimes there's lots of talking and sharing. Sometimes we're working together. Come join us for practice support and presence.
Community Class: This offering is Sliding Scale ($0-$20). Donations to Riverwest Yogashala are welcome, but not expected.
